Almon Inc.’s HVAC Fundamentals is an off-the-shelf course that introduces technicians to the basic concepts of Heating, Ventilating, and Air-Conditioning, commonly referred to as HVAC systems, as they apply to machines in the construction, agriculture, or outdoor power equipment industry.
There are many aspects to HVAC systems, and upon completion of this course the technician will understand these fundamentals. This technical course starts off by defining what it is that an HVAC system is supposed to do. The technician will then be introduced to the science behind heat and learn exactly what heat is. The course will give the technician a good understanding of the science behind heat transfer, heat measurement, and types of heat.
The technician will also gain a good understanding of the theory behind air conditioning and ventilation.
It is assumed that the technician has minimal knowledge of HVAC systems.
This course does not constitute authorization or approval of the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) for the certification of technicians.
A knowledge assessment upon completing the course will reinforce the information covered.
